BK Bloods Member Assisted In Shooting of Rival, Other Crimes: Feds
Qawon Allen, 28, was sentenced to prison for his role in an attempted murder of a rival gang member and racketeering, prosecutors said.
BROOKLYN, NY — A Brooklyn gang member was sentenced to close to 12 years in prison for his role in an attempted murder of a rival gang member and racketeering, prosecutors said.
Qawon Allen, 28, also known as “40” and “Phorty Wap,” was sentenced by United States District Judge Kiyo A. Matsumoto on Monday after he pled guilty to charges in May 2022, prosecutors said.
Allen was a long-time member of the East New York-based Elite Assassin Millas, a subset of the Bloods street gang, prosecutors said.

According to prosecutors, the 28-year-old alerted Quandel Smothers and another gang member to an individual’s location so they could be murdered.
Allen also provided the location of a hidden firearm to use in the shooting, prosecutors said.

Five other gang members that were charged with Allen have since been convicted of conspiracy to commit murder, using firearms in connection with murder, assault, among other charges, prosecutors said.
Tyshawn Corbett was sentenced to 45 years in prison, Smothers was sentenced to 23 years, Marlon Bristol was sentenced to over 11 years in prison, Devon Bristol was sentenced to over 6 years in prison and Desmonn Beckett was sentenced to over 5 years in prison.
