BK Driver Who Killed A 10-Year-Old Girl Arrested: NYPD
Isaac Karczag, 62, is accused of fatally driving into a young girl who was crossing the street, authorities said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A motorist is accused of fatally driving into a 10-year-old girl who walked across a Brooklyn street, police said.
Isaac Karczag, 62, was arrested Tuesday, just hours after a Williamsburg crash that killed Yitty Wertzberger, 10, authorities said.
NYPD officials said Karczag drove a 2022 Buick Enclave west on Wallabout Street about 2:40 p.m. when he came to Franklin Avenue, where he tried to make a left turn across a double-yellow line.

Karczag's heedless turn put him into the path of Wertzberger, who was walking across the street in a marked crosswalk, police said.
He struck Wertzberger, whom medics rushed to Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Karczag remained at the scene, police said.
Cops arrested him and requested charges of failure to yield to a pedestrian, disobeying a traffic device and failure to exercise due care, police said.
An investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.
