BK Man, 28, Struck And Killed On CT Highway: Police
Randy Casado, 28, of Brooklyn, was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – A 28-year-old Brooklyn man was struck and killed by a vehicle on a major interstate highway in Hartford, Connecticut Tuesday night, according to Connecticut State Police.
The incident happened at about 8:27 p.m. on I-84 West, state police said.
The victim has since been identified as Randy Casado, 28.

State police said a 2007 Toyota Prius being driven by a 73-year-old man was traveling on I-84 West in the HOV travel lane.
According to an accident report, Casado was directly in front of the Prius in the HOV lane and was struck by the vehicle.

Casado "sustained injuries not compatible with life" and was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.
The driver of the Prius, who remained at the scene, was taken to a nearby hospital with "suspected minor injuries.” His passenger, a 71-year-old woman, was not injured, state police said.
This case remains under investigation.
Connecticut State Police are investigating a fatal accident Tuesday night involving a pedestrian and a car on Interstate 84 in East Hartford.
