BK Man Crushed to Death By Own Vehicle: NYPD

The incident happened on April 25 in Sheepshead Bay, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY – An elderly man was killed when he tried exiting his own vehicle as it began to roll forward and was crushed to death between another parked car in Sheepshead Bay, police said.

On April 25, a 77-year-old man was run over by his 2010 Subaru Forester and was left wedged between his car and a Nissan Altima at about 4:25 p.m at the intersection of Avenue W and Ocean Avenue, according to police.

The victim has since been identified as Iosif Lontsman, of Gravesend, police said. He suffered severe head and body trauma.

EMS responded and transported the man to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

There have been no arrests at this time, and an investigation remains ongoing by NYPD's Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.
