Boy, 14, Found Dead Inside BK Apartment Building: NYPD

Officers who responded to the scene found the 14-year-old victim unresponsive on the ground with the fatal gunshot wound, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 14-year-old boy was found dead with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest inside a Brownsville apartment building this past weekend, police said.

The incident happened on Sunday, June 2, at around 10:24 a.m. inside 80 Osborn Street, police said.

Officers who responded to the scene found the 14-year-old victim unresponsive on the ground with the fatal gunshot wound, police said.

EMS transported the victim to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

There have been no arrests at this time and an investigation remains ongoing.

The identity of the victim has not been released pending family notification, police said.
