Brooklyn E-Biker Dies After Running Red Light: Police
Muhammad Suleymanov, of Midwood, was struck by a car on Neptune Avenue and Coney Island Avenue on April 18, police said.
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – A 24-year-old e-biker was struck and killed by a motorist in Brooklyn last week after running a red light, police said.
On April 18, at about 4:30, officers responded to the intersection of Neptune Avenue and Coney Island Avenue and found Muhammad Suleymanov, of Midwood, lying in the roadway with traumatic head and body injuries.
EMS responded to the scene and transported Suleymanov to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in Sunset Park where was later pronounced dead.

An initial investigation determined that Suleymanov rode his e-bike through a red light on Coney Island Ave. and was struck by a 2011 BMW SUV traveling east on Neptune Avenue, according to police.
The 20-year-old male driver remained at the scene, police said.

No arrests have been made. The crash continues to be investigated by the NYPD Highway District Collision Investigation Squad.
