BROOKLYN, NY — Christmas is almost here, but there's still plenty of things to do around Brooklyn over the weekend. Here's a list of things going on around the borough before the holiday.


'Gremlins' Midnight Screening

Neighborhood: Williamsburg
What: Ring in the holidays with midnight showings one of the best Christmas movies "Gremlins." Tickets are $12, $9 for children and seniors.
Where: Nitehawk Cinema at 136 Metropolitan Ave.
When: Midnight Friday and Saturday


House of Yes Xmas Spectacular

Neighborhood: Bushwick
What: The 7th annual Xmas Spectacular continues with reindeer, dancing gifts, Christmas tree and space dolphins. Tickets are $35 for general admission, $50 for VIP.

When: 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday

JoJo's Stranger Adventures

Neighborhood: Greepoint
What: The Upside Down comes to Brooklyn a "Stranger Things" themed-cosplay event featuring 3-d projected stages, DJs, vendors, live painting and more.
Where: Brooklyn Bazaar at 150 Greenpoint Ave.
When: 9 p.m. Friday


Last-Minute Gift Fair

Neighborhood: Park Slope
What: Still need a gift. The Brooklyn Brainery is hosting a last minute fair with their teachers selling gifts including ceramics, flowers and more.
Where: Brooklyn Brainery at 190 Underhill Ave.
When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday

'Prizzi's Honor' Screening

Neighborhood: Brooklyn Heights
What: A screening of John Huston's movie "Prizzi's Honor" from 1985, which was filmed on location in Brooklyn Heights.
Where: Brooklyn Heights Library at 109 Remsen St.
When: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday


Free Santa Visit

Neighborhood: Prospect Heights
What: Santa comes to Fifth Avenue one last time before Christmas with a free event for kids to take photos with St. Nick. Carolers will also walk down Fifth Avenue from 3 to 5 p.m.
Where: Du Jour Bakery at 365 Fifth Ave.
When: 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday


Betty Holiday Art and Craft Market

Neighborhood: Bed-Stuy
What: A Holiday art and craft market with a focus on POC, LGBTQ and women vendors.
Where: Secret Project Robot at 1186 Broadway
When: 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday


Bodega Advent Calendar Guided Walk

Neighborhood: Bushwick
What: Stroll through Bushwick and Ridgewood to checkout 25 bodega windows where commissioned art was installed this year.
Where: Bushwick Abbey at 176 St. Nicholas Ave.
When: 4:30 p.m. on Sunday


We Got You A Little Something

Neighborhood: Gowanus
What: Threes Brewing will be raffling off prizes all-day every hour from places like Granola Lab, Gowanus Souvenir Shop, RuPaw's Drag Race and more. Each drink gets you a ticket and they'll be food and drink specials all day.
Where: Threes Brewing at 333 Douglass St.
When: Noon on Sunday
