12-Year-Old Charged After Stabbing Another Boy In Chest At Brooklyn Park

Police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the stabbing.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 12-year-old boy has been arrested and charged after he alleged stabbed another boy at a Brooklyn park, police said Friday.

The boy has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the Thursday incident at the Betsy Head Park near Thomas S Boyland Street in Brownsville.

Officers found a 12-year-boy with a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in critical by stable condition.

Initially, a 9-year-old and another child were being questioned in connection with the incident, according to police and multiple reports. It's not known if more suspects are being sought at this time.
