The Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival Returns October 6th - 12th

The Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival is back for 2025 with 180 sci-fi/fantasy films from around the world available online and in theaters.

The Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival is back for 2025 with 180 independent sci-fi/fantasy films available to stream online and watch at in-person screenings, October 6 - 12. This is the must-see event of the year for SciFi fans in New York City! We'll have tales of dystopian hellscapes, robots behaving badly, AI run amuck, and aliens promising to serve all mankind. Something for everyone with new categories for animation, student films and AI generated films.

There will be networking for filmmakers, Q&A, panels, and a few surprises this year, online and at in-person events. All films will be available to stream online with a Digital Pass , or check out our in-person events and get tickets on Eventbrite. More details are available at brooklynscififilmfest.com. Best of Brooklyn - Stuart Cinema - Wednesday 10/8/25 - 7pm to 10pm

Showcasing 10 short films from New York Filmmakers. Films in Program:

It's Not You... IT'S THE ALIENS!, Discorporate, The House of Weird, Blacklisted, Growbot, Huemon Sho, Stuck At The Spaceport, Robotica, Deb & Joan, Elsewhere - The Burn-In, Chore Wheel


Mind Control with Maxx Klaxon - Stuart Cinema - Thursday 10/9/25 - 7pm to 10pm

Featuring a live 3D musical performance by Maxx Klaxon followed by 7 dystopian SciFi short films from around the world. Films in Program: AIM, How to Prepare for Time Travelers in the Workplace, Overtime, RESET, Godcasting, Golden Record Received, With live musical performance and 3D projections by Maxx Klaxon


Alamo Theater Awards Night - Saturday 10/11/25 - 6pm to 9pm

Join us at the Alamo theater in Downtown Brooklyn to watch a selection of award nominated films followed by awards announcement and after party. Films in Program: Scenario, Primacy, Next Show in 90 Minutes, Hept, S.O.U.R.C.E, Waltz of The Smorbs, Dream Without End, The Line, The Voice of Plants, Eleven Dimensions, Finnish and Paranoid Dream, OVA - The Little Astronaut
