Brooklyn Subway Slasher Still On The Loose, Police Say
A suspected slasher remains at large in Brooklyn, law enforcement sources said Monday.

BROOKLYN, NY — A subway rider was slashed by a man aboard a Manhattan-bound Q train in Brooklyn over the weekend, police said.
Investigators say that following the initial attack, two additional random knife incidents occurred in Brooklyn with a similar pattern. The first happened around 6:30 a.m. Saturday on a northbound Q train at the Church Avenue station, where a 37-year-old rider was cut on the left side of his face.
Police said the attack happened as the train neared the Cortelyou Road station, where an unidentified suspect slashed the victim in the face with a sharp object before fleeing on foot, heading south on Cortelyou Road.

Police said that following a public appeal for help identifying the suspect, two more people were attacked in a similar style — approached from behind and slashed across the face.
The first occurred around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, near Foster and New York Avenues, roughly a mile and a half from the Church Avenue station. The second took place about 7 a.m. Sunday, near Newkirk and New York Avenues, just a block away.
Police added that both victims were also taken to nearby hospitals and listed in stable condition.
Police are continuing to investigate all three attacks, and no arrests have been made as of Monday morning.
