Good Samaritan Slashed In Face By Violent Man In BK Subway, Cops Say

A 36-year-old man tried to stop an as-yet-unidentified man from harassing commuters Sunday and got slashed in the process, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A good Samaritan got slashed in the face while trying to stop a man from harassing commuters in a Brooklyn subway station, police said.

The as-yet-unidentified man left the Bedford Avenue station Sunday after the attack, leaving the good Samaritan — a 36-year-old man — in need of medical care, NYPD officials said.

The incident unfolded about 10:20 p.m. as the man started to harass commuters, authorities said.

The harasser at one point slapped a commuter in the face, prompting the 36-year-old man to step in, police said. The attacker then slashed the man in the face before fleeing, authorities said.

Medics took the good Samaritan to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.
