BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 45-year-old died after he was dropped off at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center with a gunshot wound on Wednesday, police said. The death has been ruled a homicide by the city's medical examiner, NYPD officials said. Officers responded to the hospital at about 2:37 p.m. and found the man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The 45-year-old man was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff, police said. There are no arrests at this time and an investigation remains ongoing. The NYPD has not released the identity of the deceased, pending family notification.
