Man, 63, Fatally Struck By SUV While Crossing BK Street: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — A 63-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by an SUV as he was walking across a Brooklyn street last weekend, police said.

The incident happened on June 1, at around 10:06 p.m., near Mother Gaston Boulevard and New Lots Avenue, police said.

The victim was crossing New Lots Avenue when he was struck by a Honda CRV traveling east on the street, police said.

EMS transported the 63-year-old pedestrian to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the Honda CRV remained on scene. There have been no arrests, and an investigation remains ongoing, police said.

The identity of the pedestrian has not been released pending proper family notification.
