Man Punches 72-Year-Old Woman In Unprovoked Bay Ridge Attack: NYPD
The 72-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of 4 Avenue and 96 Street, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY —The NYPD is searching for a man who punched an elderly woman in the back of the head in Bay Ridge last weekend.
The incident happened on May 5 in the vicinity of 4 Avenue and 96 Street at about 4:50 p.m., police said.
A 72-year-old woman was walking along the street when the unidentified man punched her from behind, knocking her to the ground, police said.

The man then fled the scene on foot, heading west on 97 Street, police said.
The woman suffered bleeding and swelling to the head and was transported to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

The wanted individual is described as standing 5’11” tall, with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black skull cap, black jacket, black pants, and gray and white sneakers, police said.
