Man Shot Dead At BK Apartment Building Identified: Police

Jalil​ Nixon,​ of Canarsie, was fatally shot at 91 Junius Street, according to police.

BROWNSVILLE, NY — A 34-year man shot dead at a Brownsville apartment building last week has been identified, police announced.

Jalil Nixon, of Canarsie, was fatally shot on May 3 at 91 Junius Street, according to police.

At about 3:23 p.m., officers at the scene found Nixon with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and a 42-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the left thigh, police said.

EMS transported Nixon to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The injured 42-year-old man was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Kings County in stable condition.

There have been no arrests at this time and an investigation remains ongoing, police said.
