Officer Left Injured, Shoots At Car Fleeing From BK Traffic Stop: NYPD

The traffic stop happened near Hegeman Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in East New York, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A police officer fired his gun after a car fleeing from a traffic stop struck and injured them early Friday morning.

A Toyota SUV was initially pulled over for a traffic violation in the vicinity of Hegeman Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in East New York at about 12:47 a.m., police said.

The driver the sped away, striking the officer. The officer then fired at the car, police said.
