Human Skull Found Off Coney Island Boardwalk, Police Say (patch.com) — Residents near Coney Island may notice an increased police presence after a human skull was discovered in the bushes off the Riegelmann Boardwalk between West 32nd and West 33rd Streets Tuesday evening. NYPD and the Medical Examiner are working to determine how long the remains were there, the cause of death, and the identity, and say the investigation is ongoing.
   

2. This is Brooklyn's Most Dangerous Intersection (bkreader.com) — Flatbush drivers and pedestrians should know that Flatbush Avenue and Avenue H has been identified as Brooklyn’s most dangerous obstructed intersection, based on serious crashes over the last three years. Safety advocates say several Brooklyn council districts have especially high concentrations of risky crossings and are pushing for “daylighting” rules to clear parked cars from corners and improve visibility.
   

3. Brooklyn FC hires Marlon LeBlanc as first men's head coach ahead of 2026 debut (brooklyneagle.com) — Brooklyn is getting closer to its first-ever professional men’s soccer season, with Brooklyn FC naming veteran coach Marlon LeBlanc to lead the inaugural squad ahead of the 2026 USL Championship debut. LeBlanc brings experience from Philadelphia Union II and the U.S. U-18 team, signaling serious ambitions for the borough’s new club.
   

4. Federal agents make one of the largest meth busts in New York City history (abc7ny.com) — Federal agents uncovered about 300 pounds of crystal meth hidden in pallets inside a papaya shipment in a tractor-trailer opened in Brooklyn, calling it one of New York City’s largest recent meth seizures. Investigators say the drugs, tied to Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel, were likely destined for distribution across the Northeast, underscoring Brooklyn’s role in regional trafficking routes.
   

5. Brooklyn jury weighs charges that ex-NY aide acted as unregistered Chinese agent (gothamist.com) — Jurors in Brooklyn federal court are weighing charges that former New York gubernatorial aide Linda Sun acted as an unregistered agent for the Chinese government while serving in state government. Prosecutors describe alleged favors for Chinese officials and secret payments, while defense attorneys insist her outreach work and her husband’s business income were lawful and consistent with U.S. policy.
