Police Identify Teen Who was Shot Dead Near Soho Hotel
The victim has been identified as Mahki Brown, 16, of East Flatbush, police said.

NEW YORK CITY, NY — A teenager shot dead near a Soho hotel on Tuesday has been identified, police said.
The victim has been identified as Mahki Brown, 16, of East Flatbush, police said.
On May 7, at about 2:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man shot near 233 Spring Street. At the scene, they found Brown with a gunshot wound to the head and the right thigh, police said.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue where he was later pronounced dead.
Brown may have been shot by a gunman riding by on a Citi Bike, according to The New York Post.

There have been arrests at this time and an investigation remains ongoing.
