R Train Late-Night Service Suspended In Brooklyn Beginning Friday

The suspension will last for two weekends in January, officials said.

BROOKLYN, NY— Beginning Friday, R train late-night service will be suspended for two weekends in January at some stations for needed structural maintenance, MTA officials said.

Late night service will be suspended between the 36th Street and 95th Street stations starting on Friday at 11:30 p.m until 5:30 a.m. on Monday.

The weekend of Jan. 10-13 will also see service disruption.

The MTA will operate free shuttle buses at all R line stops between 36th St and 95th St.

For 45th Street and 53rd Street stations, riders are advised to take Coney Island-bound trains. Commuters headed to 59th Street should transfer to the N train, the MTA said.

Transfers will be able at Atlantic Avenue and 36th Street stations.

The MTA advised riders to use alternative routes for nearby stations.
