Red Bull Music Festival Takes Over New York City This Month

The music festival will be held throughout May and hold concerts at unique spots like Deno's Wonder Wheel Park and The Park Avenue Armory.

NEW YORK, NY — The Red Bull Music Festival returns to New York City starting this week, bringing concerts, film screening and more to unique spots around the boroughs.

The sixth annual festival will take over the city throughout May hosting a wide array of musicians at spots in Manhattan, Brooklyn and The Bronx. Concerts include songwriter John Maus playing at Deno's Wonder Wheel Park in Coney Island, Swedish band Fever Ray playing their first U.S. show in nearly a decade at Brooklyn Hanger in Sunset Park and Oneohtrix Point Never at the Park Avenue Armory, according to organizers.

The festival kicks off on Thursday with a performance by Wiki, Coati Mundi and others at Pier 17 celebrating the work of New York City artist Rammellzee, who died in 2010.
