Robbery Suspect Attacks Man, 68, On Brooklyn Street: Video
Video of the Saturday morning attack, released by the NYPD, shows the suspect punching and kicking the victim, who fell to the ground.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Police have released video of a Saturday morning beating and robbery that took place in the Pitkin Avenue and Barbey Street area, near Highland Park.
The video, released by the NYPD, shows the perpetrator punching and kicking the victim and removing his property. The incident took place at 9:05 a.m. Saturday.

The suspect approached the victim, 68, while riding a Citi Bike, WPIX reported. They touched the victim's pockets and demanded his property, and when he resisted, the suspect began punching and kicking him, causing him to eventually fall to the ground.

The suspect stole the victim's cellphone and a silver necklace, police told WPIX, and the victim suffered a broken wrist, a broken nose and several cuts and abrasions. He was hospitalized and is in stable condition.
