Target Team Members Revitalize Greenpoint YMCA During Day of Service
Target partners with Jersey Cares for Bullseye Build day
On Tuesday, November 11, Target team members from across New York City came together at the Greenpoint YMCA for a “Bullseye Build” day of service, partnering with Jersey Cares to give back to the local community in a meaningful way.
One hundred Target volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help revitalize residential rooms that are part of the YMCA’s transitional housing program, which provides safe, affordable, and stable housing for New Yorkers in need. Volunteers painted 30 rooms, assembled new bed frames, and outfitted each space with new mattresses, mattress protectors, pillows, sheets, and blankets - creating more welcoming and comfortable environments for residents.
As part of the effort, Target also presented the Greenpoint YMCA with a $5,000 donation to support ongoing programming and community services.
