Teen Shot Dead In Brooklyn; Gunman Still At Large, NYPD Says

BROOKLYN, NY — A 16-year-old was gunned down on a Brooklyn sidewalk Saturday night, and police say his killer is still out there.

Officers rushed to Eastern Parkway near Rochester Avenue in Crown Heights around 8:45 p.m. after reports of gunfire and found the teen on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and police later identified him as 16-year-old Tyson Harps from the Melrose neighborhood of the Bronx.

The NYPD said Monday that the investigation remains active and no one has been taken into custody.
