Brownsville Drive-By Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 4 Wounded: Police
Police are reportedly seeking a person of interest in the shooting that killed one man and left another in critical condition.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A drive-by shooter killed one man and wounded four others in Brownsville late Wednesday night, police said. Cops have identified a person of interest in connection with the shooting who is currently on probation for attempted murder, the New York Daily News reported.
A dark-colored Hyundai SUV pulled up outside 333 Bristol St. just before midnight and shot into a gathered crowd, striking five young men, Assistant Chief Jeffrey Maddrey said.
The violence erupted outside the Marcus Garvey Village housing complex during a block party that was advertised on social media, according to the Daily News.

Cops found the SUV abandoned near the scene of the shooting after a couple called 911 saying it had rammed their car and driven away "erratically," Deputy Chief Michael Kemper said.
Police seized the car and are trying to get a warrant to search it, Kemper said.
"I am confident that that car was used by the people or the person that are responsible for the shooting last night," Kemper said.
Police have not yet identified the man who was killed. Cops are processing the crime scene, reviewing video and interviewing the victims and witnesses as the investigation continues, Kemper said.
