BROOKLYN, NY - A 27-year-old NYPD school safety agent was arrested and charged in Brooklyn with attempted assault, harassment and weapons offenses this week, authorities said.

Ashley Anderson was charged about 10 p.m. Wednesday in East New York while she was off duty, police sources told Patch.

The nature of the alleged crime wasn’t immediately made available, though a police source noted the incident involved a family member.

No injuries stemmed from the incident in which Anderson allegedly pulled a sharp object on an adult relative, Gothamist reported.

It was not immediately clear which school in Brooklyn she had worked in.
