NYPD Seek Help Finding Brownsville Man Missing Since Tuesday: Police

Armando Diaz, 72, was last seen in Brownsville on Aug. 9 and is said to have a poor mental and physical condition, according to police.

BROWNSVILLE, NY — The police are seeking the public’s help in locating an elderly man who was last seen at his residence in Brownsville on Aug. 9.

Armando Diaz, was last seen at 1381 East New York Ave. at 9 a.m. and this is a silver alert case, an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch on Saturday.

“He is missing and in poor mental and physical condition,” said the spokeswoman, who could not specify at the time what condition Diaz has.

Diaz is a Black Hispanic man, photo attached above, is 5 feet 9 inches, approximately 190 pounds and has brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt, gray colored jeans and blue and white sneakers.

Anyone with information in regard to the missing is asked to call the NYPD's Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). All calls are strictly confidential.
