Cops Seek 2 Men Who Flashed a Gun And Robbed a Man in East NY

Have you seen these two men who allegedly threatened a 19-year-old man and ran off with his cellphone?

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Cops are seeking two men who they say threatened a 19-year-old man with a gun and robbed him of his cellphone in the Cypress Hills area around Crescent Street and Atlantic Avenue earlier this month. They've released surveillance video of the suspects and are asking the public to help in finding the suspects.

According to the NYPD, on Thursday, Dec. 8 at around 9:00 p.m., two men approached the victim from behind and demanded to see what was in his pockets. When the victim refused, one of the men allegedly flashed a gun. The victim took out his cellphone from his pocket and gave it to the two robbers, and the two men fled northbound on Crescent Street, cops said.

There were no injuries reported, cops said.

Police describe the first suspect as a black man around 19 to 21 years old, 6'0'' with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a navy blue hoodie, dark sweatpants, and had a scruffy beard, police said. The second suspect was described as a black man also around 19 to 21 years old, 5'7'' with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie and dark sweatpants.
