East NY Cab Driver Attack: Cops Seek 2 Suspects
According to police, the 2 young men refused to pay for a cab ride and attacked the driver, stole his cash and fled.
EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Cops are looking for two young men in connection with an attack on a cab driver in East New York on Jan. 10, they said. According to police, the two men tried to run out of the cab without paying when they arrived at their destination, and when the cab driver tried to stop them, they tackled him to the ground, kicked him in the stomach and stole the cash that was on him. The 26-year-old driver walked away with minor injuries and refused medical attention on the scene, cops said.
Police describe the first suspect as a black man around 18 years old, 5-foot-11-inches tall, 130 pounds, with a "dark complexion" and "Caesar style black hair." They describe the second suspect as a black man around 20 years old, 5-foot-9-inches tall and 160 pounds with a "dark complexion." The second suspect didn't get out of the cab, cops said.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the first suspect walking into a laundromat.
