Man Found Dead Thursday in City Line at Eldert Lane and Dumont Avenue
The 26-year-old had trauma to the head, police said. An investigation into his death is ongoing.

CITY LINE, BROOKLYN — A 26-year-old man was found dead early Thursday morning at the corner of Eldert Lane and Dumont Avenue in City Line, police said.
The NYPD said they found the man shortly after 1:30 a.m. with trauma to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of Friday morning, the city's medical examiner had yet to determine the cause of death, police said. The man's name had not been released, pending family notification.
No arrests had been made as of Friday, and an investigation into the incident was ongoing, according to the NYPD.

The Daily News reported that the NYPD's ShotSpotter system had not recorded gunfire from the area of the man's death.

City Line is patrolled by the NYPD's 75th Precinct. Through June 26, major crimes were collectively down about 1.6 percent in the 75th, compared to the same period in 2015. A total of 13 murders had been reported in the precinct, compared to 12 during the previous year.
