Man Shot Dead Near Brownsville Rehab Facility, Cops Say

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A man was shot dead in a confrontation outside a Brownsville rehab center early Sunday morning, according to police and reports.

Jose Flores, 30, was shot once in the torso outside the Tapscott Rehab Houses just after 4:30 a.m., according to police. He was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.

Flores had been in a car near the facility when several men in another vehicle got out and surrounded him, police sources told amNY. The group and Flores got into an argument before the shooting, though it was unclear what started the confrontation, sources told the outlet.
