Brooklyn Debit-Card Thieves Withdraw $500 From Woman's Bank Account: NYPD
The illegal withdrawal was made at a CitiBank location near East New York, police say.
CITY LINE, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for two men (pictured above) who allegedly withdrew money using a stolen debit card on May 10.
The card was used at the Citi Bank branch located at 1200 Liberty Ave. in City Line, near East New York, according to police. The suspects withdrew $500 from the account of a 59-year-old woman, the NYPD said.
Detectives describe the first suspect as a man last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie with "Brooklyn" written on the back.

The second man was last seen wearing a grey outfit, according to detectives.

This alleged crime took place in the 73rd Precinct. According to official police statistics, through May 15, major crimes were collectively down in the 73rd about 2.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
Stealing a debit card is classified as grand larceny in New York State. A total of 126 grand larcenies were reported in the 75th through May 15, compared to 136 during the same period in 2015.
