Those interested in hearing more can add their email to a form to get updates about the club. There is also a form set up for neighbors who want to become bike leaders.
The East Brooklyn Biking Club hopes to have six community leaders that will host rides, help plan events and help members learn to do more with their bikes, according to the form.
The leaders should have experience in street riding and be willing to take a free group ride training session in May.
"If you are selected to be Club Leader, you will be taught the techniques to safely guide groups of riders through traffic, essential mechanical skills, and the organization tools needed to plan interesting routes," organizers wrote.
Those who are chosen to be community leaders will be notified by end of April.
