New Video Shows Suspect in Brutal Brooklyn Elder Rape
A man is still on the loose more than one week after beating and raping a 60-year-old woman in New Lots.

NEW LOTS, BROOKLYN — Police have released new video and pictures of a suspect linked to the rape and assault of a 60-year-old woman in New Lots last week.
According to the NYPD, the man (pictured above) approached the woman at about 6 a.m. on July 13 near a building at 463 Berriman St. He covered her mouth, pulled her into the building's boiler room, "repeatedly punched her in the face," and sexually assaulted her.

Detectives describe the suspect as a black male between five-foot-six and five-foot-seven inches tall with a medium complexion and a medium build. He weighs about 145 pounds, has close-cut hair, and has been seen in a blue shirt.

This attack occurred in the NYPD's 75th Precinct. Through July 10, major crime in the precinct was collectively down about two percent compared to the same period last year.
A total of 29 sexual assaults had been recorded by police through July 10, compared to 31 during the same period in 2015.
