Brownsville Pedestrian Killed by Car on Linden Boulevard
It was one of two pedestrian fatalities in the borough this weekend.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 47-year-old man crossing Linden Boulevard was struck and killed by a car Saturday evening, police said.
Shortly before 6 p.m. on June 18, the man, whose name hadn't been released as of Monday morning, was crossing Linden at its intersection with Church Avenue, police said.

The man was crossing against the traffic light, according to an NYPD spokesman.
As he crossed, he was hit by a Chrysler minivan traveling east on Linden, according to the NYPD. The driver of the car remained on the scene.

The man was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to the NYPD. No arrests had been made as of Monday, and the accident was still under investigation.
The man's death was one of two pedestrian fatalities in Brooklyn this weekend. A 70-year-old man was likewise killed by a car Sunday in Cobble Hill.
According to the city's Vision Zero database, through Feb. 29, six Brooklyn pedestrians had been killed on borough streets.
