Brooklyn Bar Employee Robbed at Gunpoint: NYPD

Two suspects pulled a gun on an employee of East New York's Trin International Unisex Bar and stole his jewelry plus $400 cash, police say.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for two suspects (pictured above) accused of robbing a bar employee at gunpoint last Monday.

According to police, the robbery victim was closing the Trin International Unisex Bar, located at 2552 Pitkin Ave., early on the morning of May 16 when he was approached by a man with a gun.

The armed man stole $400 and fled the scene with a second individual who was serving as his lookout, police said.

Detectives describe the alleged gunman as a black male standing about five-feet-seven-inches and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a dark colored hoodie, and light colored sneakers.

The second suspect is described by detectives as a black male standing at about five-foot-eight-inches and weighing about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, black sneakers, and a blue baseball cap.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these men can confidentially report it via the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers website or anonymously call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

This alleged crime took place in the NYPD's 75th Precinct. According to official police statistics, through May 15, major crimes in the 75th were collectively down about 3.2 percent compared to the same time period last year.

A total of 214 robberies had been reported in the precinct through May 15, compared to 244 during the same period in 2015.
