Nowadays, Outdoor Beer Garden, Wants Your Help To Build New Indoor Bar
"Nowadays will be the home of the long-standing Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday dance parties," said one of the founders.

Founders of the parties Mister Saturday Night, Mister Sunday and the bar Nowadays have started a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for their permanent, year-round indoor space.
Eamon Harkin, Justin Carter and Mark Connell scoured the streets of Brooklyn in 2015 for a suitable location that is easily accessible by train but somewhere the thumping bass wouldn’t disturb the neighbors. They finally found an old cabinet factory in Ridgewood and built a summertime bar, restaurant and venue in the backyard and called it Nowadays.
Now, they want to build an indoor venue at the same location to host their parties year-round.

“All along our journey, we wanted a long-term home — a place where our community could grow and flourish,” said Eamon Harkin, in the promotional video for their campaign that began on March 8.
The initial goal of $50,000 will allow the Nowadays team to make sure that they meet all the legal requirements, which means hiring a team of architects, engineers and safety professionals.

The second goal of $100,000 will allow the indoor space to be equipped with state-of-the-art sound systems. If the goal is reached, the venue will have two sound-systems: one Hi-Fi system conducive to listening and another for dancing.
“Right now, we’ve got this space but we need your help. If you help us by funding our Kickstarter, we will be able to turn this space into the year-round home for Nowadays and the larger community surrounding Mister Saturday Night, Mister Sunday and what we’ve already built outside it nowadays,” says Justin Carter.
