Two Suspects ID'd Following Double Shooting in Bushwick Over the Weekend: NYPD

The victims, 21 and 23 years old, were transported to Kings County Hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Two suspects (pictured above) have been identified following a double shooting in Bushwick on July 3, police said.

At about 1:30 a.m. on that day, the suspects fired multiple shots at their victims, two men aged 21 and 23, near the intersection of Evergreen Avenue and Hancock Street, according to the NYPD.

The 21-year-old was hit in the buttocks, while the 23-year-old was hit in the stomach, police said. Both were taken to Kings County Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Detectives describe the first suspect as a black male between 18 and 25 years old with a thin build. He was last seen wearing gray shorts and a gray shirt.

The second suspect is described as a black male in the same age range with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, dark colored shorts and a baseball cap.

These shootings took place in the NYPD's 83rd Precinct, which covers Bushwick. According to official police statistics, through July 3, major crimes were collectively down in the 83rd by about 5.5 percent compared to the same period in 2015.

A total of five shootings and six shooting victims had been recorded by police through July 3, compared to four shootings and four victims in 2015.
