For Fat Tuesday, Eat Some Crawfish!

Char No. 4 hosts a traditional New Orleans "boil"

Sean Josephs, a co-owner of the whiskey influenced Smith Street establishment , enjoys Mardi Gras with his wife and her family in New Orleans so much, he decided to bring the party to Brooklyn.

"It's a really fun, celebratory time," he said. "It's about friends and family getting together."

And so, Char No. 4 is hosting a "crawfish boil" for Fat Tuesday.

$23 gets you the crawfish boil, which is a spicy broth based dish that also includes potatoes, clams, shrimp and andouille sausage. An ice cold Abita Restoration Ale, a Louisiana beer, is included.

If you're a crawfish newbie, bartender Scott Gold, a native of New Orleans will show you just how to eat the crawfish -- head juices first.

"You want to suck the delicious juices of out it, it's so much fun, you gotta get into it," Josephs said, excitedly. "It's definitely one of those experience things."
