Gov. Cuomo Waives Fares on Subway, Bus and Rails
Free ridership to last until Friday.

The Metro Transit Authority official Twitter account has announced that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has waived fares for subways, buses, LIRR and Metro-North rail ridership until Friday.
Cuomo has declared the current situation a "transportation state of emergency" according to the MTA.

Cuomo ordered a suspension of New York City's subway and bus service at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in advance of Hurricane Sandy.
Bus service has since been restored, and subway service is planned to resume limited operation beginning Thursday.
