Liquor Licenses, Chess Club, New Year's Eve & More

Monday

The  committee on public safety, environmental protection, permits and licenses holds a meeting at 6:30 in the Cobble Hill Community Meeting Room, 250 Baltic St. Liquor licenses will be discussed and there will be a review and discussion of a potential addition to the Brooklyn CB6 Responsible Development Policy. For all you civic-minded folks, this is a must attend.

Tuesday

Head to The Bell House in Gowanus for the monthly , holiday style. Beginners are encouraged to attend. In true sporting man's fashion -- Bud Light's are $3 all night!

The Brooklyn Center for Independence of the Disabled in conjunction with Brooklyn Community Pride Center holds an  at their offices on Smith Street. To make an appointment, call the Center at 718-802-3890.

Wednesday

 meets at the Carroll Gardens branch of the Brooklyn Public Library every Wednesday at 6 pm. Come show off your skills while National Chess Master Manuel Ugarte helps analyze your moves.
