Some News From Patch: 'BoCoCa' Is No More
Welcome to the "Carroll Gardens-Cobble Hill Patch."

Patch readers: Over the last day or so, you may have noticed a name change at the top of your neighborhood coverage. We're doing away with "BoCoCa" and calling this space the "Carroll Gardens-Cobble Hill Patch."
The term "BoCoCa" — meaning Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens — cropped up in the early 2000s and is one of those portmanteaus that real estate agents use to describe groups of neighborhoods.
When Patch reorganized our Brooklyn coverage a few months ago, we wanted to expand it beyond just Carroll Gardens, while staying true to our hyper-local mission, and that group of neighborhoods made sense. But "BoCoCa" is not the name to do it under.

The coverage itself won't change. You'll still get a daily newsletter and breaking news alerts about the Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill area. We just wanted to make it crystal clear exactly what and where our coverage is focused.
If you haven't already, be sure to sign up for said newsletter and email news alerts, and please tell your friends in the neighborhood to do the same. (For our Boerum Hill readers, check out our Brooklyn Patch and Patches all across NYC.)
