1. Great news! The El Che Argentinian BBQ food truck now has a permanent spot at 491 Montauk Highway in Eastport. Fabian Diessler has been a professional chef for a decade, he knows what makes good Argentinian BBQ. Among the most popular menu choices are the flap steak sandwich, short ribs, shrimp fettuccini, chicken milanesa, and pork tenderloins. There are also empanadas and various soups, salads and sides. El Che Deli and Grocery is open every day, from noon - 9 p.m. in Eastport to serve their signature grub. (Greater Long Island)
2. Have you seen Angelica? She left her home on Lewis St. in Riverhead on Dec. 31 at 10 p.m. and has not been seen since. Angelica is known to frequent the Flanders area, police said. 3. Volunteers needed for temporary homes for future guide and service dogs. The Guide Dog Foundation and America’s VetDogs, is in urgent need for volunteer temporary homes across Long Island and the New York Tri-state area. Temporary homes provide a puppy/mature dog a safe and friendly home with a loving environment where a puppy will learn, or an adult dog will maintain, housebreaking, obedience, excellent house manners, and socialization.
