Here are the top stories today in Center Moriches-Eastport:

1. Northwell Health has temporarily suspended all visitation at some of its hospitals, including Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, due to COVID-19 cases rising across the region. 2. There are service changes on the the Long Island Rail Road for New Year's Day in anticipation of lower ridership due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. Here's how it shakes out for LIRR riders. (Patch)
3. 2022 starts with minimum wage in NYS increasing to $13.20 an hour except for fast food workers around the state who are already making $15 an hour. Workers in Nassau and Suffolk counties will be making $15 an hour. On the National level, the move toward a $15 minimum wage is moving forward as well with President Joe Biden requiring that base salary for federal contractors. (Newsbreak)
