On-Duty Suffolk Deputy Sheriff Involved In Rollover Crash: Officials
The crash took place in Eastport Monday; the deputy sheriff sustained non-life threatening injuries, officials say.
EASTPORT, NY — An on-duty Suffolk County deputy sheriff was involved in an Eastport rollover crash Monday, officials said.
According to a representative for Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon's office, the two-vehicle crash took place on County Road 51 just south of County Road 111 in Eastport Monday afternoon.
The deputy sheriff was treated for non-life threatening injuries; the other vehicle had one occupant and there were no reported injuries, public information officer Vicki DiStefano told Patch.
