Eastport-South Manor Breaks Ground On New Fitness Center
The construction project is part of the $89.9 million bond approved by voters in February 2022.

MANORVILLE, NY — A new day dawned at the Eastport-South Manor Central School District recently, when ground was broken on a new fitness center on the campus of the Jr.-Sr. High School.
The construction project is part of the $89.9 million bond approved by voters in February 2022 to update district learning environments, increase safety and security, preserve building infrastructure and invest in performing arts and athletics, the district said.
Designed to promote overall health and wellness, the new fitness center will contain a new dance center, a weight room addition to benefit physical education classes and team training and team locker rooms to accommodate "much-needed" storage space for athletic equipment, the district said.
