NEW YORK CITY — The latest forecasts are showing the coldest temperatures of the season so far, and increased chances for snow and rain over the weekend in New York City, meteorologists say.
According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, there is a 50 percent chance of rain on Saturday, which will turn into a 60 percent chance of snow through Sunday, forecasters from the National Weather Service said.
Then on Tuesday, the high will be around 18 degrees, forecasters said.

Meteorologists said between one to three inches of snow is expected for the New York City region on Sunday, which could lead to icy travel conditions after the long weekend, as the temperatures will stay below freezing.
AccuWeather forecasters warned that even a small amount of snow could cause "significant delays" in commutes.
