Harlem Man Slashed Selling Sneakers, Another Robbed Nearby in Central Park
The NYPD is unsure whether the two robberies which occurred within hours of each other are connected.

Police are trying to solve two robberies that occurred Sunday evening in the same area in northern Central Park.
The first robbery occurred just before 6 p.m. when two men met at the Central Park North (110th St) subway station to sell a pair of sneakers. Police said the two disagreed over the price and they decided to part ways. The buyer then called the seller back over to him and said he wanted to work out the disagreement. Instead, he slashed him in the face with a sharp object and stole the seller's $400 Ferragamo belt and $40 in cash, according to police. There was no description of the suspect.
He apparently left the shoes, however.
