3 Men Arrested After Burglarizing Home, Fleeing Into Woods: WCPD
Police said they also found two juveniles who drove an unregistered car from Queens to pick the suspects up after the burglary.

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Westchester County police say three would-be robbers didn't quite make it over the river and through the woods in their attempt to escape justice.
The Westchester County Police Department says that it responded to a burglary-in-progress at a Mount Kisco home in the early morning hours Friday and captured three suspects after they attempted to elude capture by fleeing into the woods.
Around 1:41 a.m., officers from the Mount Kisco precinct responded to a report of an activated burglar alarm at a Carlton Drive home. Once on the scene, officers immediately saw two men run from the house and flee in separate directions in the nearby woods.

Mount Kisco precinct officers, with assistance from officers from other WCPD units and neighboring towns, a tracking bloodhound and the Aviation Unit helicopter, established a perimeter in the vicinity and began the search for the suspects.
One suspect was taken into custody by WCPD officers when he was spotted on Stratford Drive.

A second suspect was found sitting in a Jeep on Sarles Avenue and was detained by Bedford Police Department officers. County police then took the man into custody and the vehicle was impounded.
A third suspect was taken into custody at Woodcrest Drive and South Bedford Road.
Officers continued to canvass the area and the third suspect was taken into custody at Woodcrest Drive and South Bedford Road.
An officer noticed a nearby vehicle then drive away. After the description was broadcast, WCPD officers stopped it on South Bedford Road, finding two juveniles inside the vehicle who apparently came from Queens to pick up the suspects. The two juveniles were taken to WCPD headquarters in Hawthorne, and eventually released to one of the juvenile's parents. Their unregistered vehicle was impounded.
"I would like to commend our officers and our law enforcement partners for their effective response and teamwork this morning," Acting Commissioner Terrance Raynor of the Department of Public Safety said. "The coordination among all responders led to the capture of these suspects."
