Additional Westchester Democratic Leaders Endorse Beth Davidson for Congress in NY-17
Backing from New Group of Political Supporters Demonstrates Campaign's County-Wide Momentum

Beth Davidson’s campaign for Congress in New York’s 17th District has announced a new group of key Westchester endorsements, strengthening her position as the Democratic front-runner in the race against Republican Rep. Mike Lawler.
With more than 100 grassroots community leaders and the backing of Rockland County’s top Democratic elected officials and party leaders previously secured, Davidson's latest support from Westchester political leaders confirms growing county-wide momentum for her battleground seat Congressional campaign.
The latest endorsers include former Croton democratic chair Richard Masur; North Salem town board member Martin Aronchick; North Salem town board member Katherine Daniels; Somers Democratic Club executive vice president Terry Clifford and Somers Democratic Club president Jack Mattes. Together, they represent a cross-section Westchester’s Democratic political ecosystem who believe Davidson can unify the party, energize the base, and win in November 2026.

“This campaign is about bringing people together in Westchester and all across of NY-17 to take back this seat and improve the lives of our families,” said Davidson. “I’m honored to have the support of these local political leaders who want a government that actually works for the people and are building a grassroots movement that will fight hard for our communities.”
Davidson, the only Democratic candidate in the NY-17 congressional race who has won previous election campaigns against Republicans and holds public legislative office, is currently an elected Rockland County Legislator and former Nyack School Board Vice President. A thyroid cancer survivor, she has advocated for affordable healthcare and is working to lower the real costs families face. She and her husband, Jeff, moved to Nyack 20 years ago, where they are raising their two children, both of whom attend public school.
