First 'Wild Kisco' Photography Exhibition And Workshop Opens
48 images, captured by 21 photographers, in an interactive installation, will show a sometimes hidden side of life in Mount Kisco.

MOUNT KISCO, NY — If this year's "Wild Kisco" installation is as big a hit as it seems to be, next year's show will have even more photographers with new skills to contribute to next year's collection.
The Mount Kisco Conservation Advisory Council's new exhibition is underway at the Mount Kisco Public Library. The monthlong installation, "Wild Kisco" features pictures of local wildlife taken by local photographers.
Subjects of the 48 images captured by 21 photographers include: Great Blue Heron, Praying Mantis, Hummingbird, Red Fox, Northern Red Cardinal, White-tailed deer, and Painted Turtle.

On Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Community Room, there will also be a Nature Photography Workshop for people of all skill levels, and those who shoot with mirrorless cameras, smartphones or film, with tips and techniques to improve the photographer’s wildlife photo results almost immediately. Organizers say that attendees will learn how to find wild subjects, shoot more engaging photos, and use simple apps to get the most out of their walks in the wild.
Both the exhibit and workshop are free.
